# MySQL Workbench 에서 Error Code : 1175 (Safe update mode..) 에러 발생 시 해결방법

MySQL Workbench 사용 시 UPDATE, DELETE 등 구문을 사용할 때 아래와 같은 에러 메세지를 만나는 경우가 발생한다.

> Error Code: 1175\. You are using safe update mode and you tried to update a table without a WHERE that uses a KEY column To disable safe mode, toggle the option in Preferences -> SQL Editor and reconnect.

데이터의 보호를 위해 설정되어 있는 Safe Update Mode 설정을 해제해 주면 되는데, 아래와 같이 해결하면 된다.

## Edit >> Preferences 메뉴 클릭

## SQL Editor 설정에서 제일 아래쪽 Other 설정 Safe Updates 체크 해제

처음 창이 떴을 때 스크롤을 내리지 않으면 안보이는 경우가 있다. 조심하자 -\_-..

스크롤을 내리면 제일 아래쪽 Other 메뉴 아래 설정 메뉴가 존재한다. 체크를 해제하자\~

## MySQL Workbench 재시작

그냥 Editor 를 닫았다가 키는 것으로는 적용이 안되고 재시작을 해야 적용이 됨.
